Two thoughts

1. Two mining lasers seems excessive in a rig that doesn't have Collection Limpets

2. If you are going for Small Mining, take the Lance since it is weaponized.

Lance takes a month to earn. I'm not waiting a month to earn it.

You can buy Viper IIIs at Jaques.

You can but there's very little in the way of fixtures and fittings available (classes E & D only) to fit it out with once you've bought your shiny new viper!

So either make sure you've got plenty of components in module storage before setting off for Jaques, or outfit a Viper Mk3 how you want it before you go and get it shipped out on arrival.

Having said that, I'm currently flying around the Jaques area in a viper mk3 purchased and fitted out at Jaques for a bit of R & R before heading back out in my Asp X, its challenging with the lack of modules available - I've got less than 10Ly jump range before I add any cargo!

Wasn't paying attention en route to Maia... Hit a star... And then a pirate appeared, after my alien artefacts from the ruins!
