Agreed. It is nice to have some form of link back home.
Now then, given that we can receive transmissions from Galnet, would it be outside the realms of possibility that we could, perhaps, transmit back to them, and no, I'm not talking about selling data, that should remain as is. But, I wonder if it would be possible for universal cartographics to transmit details of anomalies it's discovered so that explorers who are already out there can go and investigate and report back there findings?
Obviously this would need to be fleshed out a lot more, but it would help us (me at least) to feel like we're making a contribution even though we're so far from home and will be for many weeks, months to come?
