I lost my SRV?

Your data will be safe. I had to self-destruct an SRV once when I was stuck in a deep ice hole ... just couldn't jump or drive out of it. So I self-destructed back to the ship.

As it happens, I had a spare SRV, but the data was retained when I returned to the bubble.

OP, depending on where your located, there are some "deep space outposts" in the black. Maybe your close enough to one that has "outfitting".

On this map, there is a small box in the upper right corner. Click on that and check the box for "deep space oputposts" and they will light up. You can "zoom in" and click on one to see whether it offers "outfitting".

Your other choice is to fly all the way back to the bubble, or do without an SRV for the rest of your trip.

Thanks - unfortunately the nearest outpost is nearly as far as the bubble itself lol.
That's an excellent resource though - I've seen it before but not really skilled at its use. Got it pinned.

See if there are any asteroid bases nearby - there are quite a few out in the black now (these are not the same as those outposts). You can get a new SRV there.

You could give us a vague idea of where you are, maybe a (somewhat) nearby system name, and then I'm sure someone could help.

Or you could use EDDB to find the nearest place

I had to do that once when I got stuck on a crashed thargoid ship remains, the thing is that when I got back to the ship(Vette) it was back in the srv hanger? I started with 2 and after I destroyed it magically I had 2 again?
Never told anyone- and I'm keeping it

Meeza thinks srv's are a tricky thing in ED.

Put the remote against your head when you push the button, it extends the range and you may see the lights flash or here the alarm beep.

Is the hangar module powered up?

Like when your sensors are down, you get no comms.

If your SRV bay is down you can’t SRV.
