I Lost the System I Built

As the first cmdr to successfully claim ownership of the PUPPIS SECTOR TO-R B4-4 system under the new colony gameplay, my friend and I had achieved over 50% infrastructure development progress. However, yesterday the system ownership status was abruptly removed from my account without explanation. I immediately contacted customer support regarding this technical discrepancy, but now another player has now illegitimately occupied our system by exploiting server synchronization errors. This flawed server architecture allows other players to capitalize on server errors, undermining fair play.

This isn’t just about my system — it’s about whether Frontier’s servers can reliably protect any of our collective efforts. Yesterday, I saw in the community that many cmdrs lost their star systems, how many more cmdrs must lose their work to technical negligence? The first person to successfully claim and begin constructing a space station should have no reason to be prevented from continuing the construction; even if there are server issues, the will of the first person should be respected. Moreover, I never give up ownership of the starsystem

It was a server issue that caused everything to happen. I am extremely disappointed by this and hope customer support can resolve the issue for cmdrs who lost their star systems, restore their system ownership, as soon as possible

(The screenshot shows that yesterday, at the very last moment when I saw that the star system was still mine, if you check now, you'll see that it is already owned by someone else.)

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the development team for introducing a brand-new version to all players, and I also deeply appreciate the challenges and difficulties they faced during the beta testing phase. But,The first person to successfully claim and begin constructing a space station should have no reason to be prevented from continuing the construction; even if there are server issues, the will of the first person should be respected.

I experienced a similar loss of my galaxy yesterday, but fortunately, it was restored to me today.

I thought the WHOLE POINT of colonization was for players to explore and set their name on systems, on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis?

Frontier you gotta fix this and make sure it goes to the first CMDR that colonizes a system. Otherwise anyone could lose their hard earned system due to some kind of farcical SERVER GLITCH?

Wow.. I can't believe the PvPers who really wanted their system from you exploited server synchronization errors! There needs to be justice!!
Whether they're evil, righteous, or whatever else they want to do, I had never even heard of pvpers before. I just want to play my galaxy simulation, but unfortunately the server doesn't allow me to do so, forcibly depriving me of my efforts

I mean, you can do that without snagging the incredibly high traffic system right next to shinrarta dezhra, which I suspect is the contention here. Then again, the PvPers are only there because people ran BGS to wreck the previous lawless system they used for organised rockfights in San Tu.

I suspect they're going to have to find a system with a tourist beacon in it (and thus ineligible for colonisation) to avoid having the rug pulled under them again.

Ye
Is that the previously empty system that was being used for PvP duels?

In that case, I'm not surprised at the glitch. I imagine that there have been quite a few players with the totally unique and original idea of colonising it.
Yep, that's exactly the one. The one specifically picked for being an uninhabited (and thus lawless) system with good rings close to shindez.

They did state that this is a live beta test, so they can work the kinks out. With the mad rush of probably thousands of players claiming and starting systems all at the same time, it was obvious across the whole game things were very slow and out of wack, it even crashed for a number of hours. I am curious if it was a time stamp issue and the other player had claimed it a few seconds before your claim.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the devs simply never encountered a race condition like "what happens if one player puts in a claim, then another player puts in a claim before the server has had time to respond to and process the first one" in-house before the update went live and the servers started getting hammered.

But at least on the night of FEB 26, I successfully claimed it and, together with my friends we build the station. I was able to continue building until midday on the 27th, then it was suddenly canceled, it’s really so strange

Big up a pvp enclave!!
It's kinda a shame with the way the BGS works there isn't a way to actually stake down "let's all meet up in this system and have fun in a weapons free zone" now. Even claiming a system with an anarchy faction doesn't mean a lawful one won't just move in - and as OP said, "I just want to play in my galaxy simulation". There are thousands of people who just want to do their own thing, with their own thing impacting others, with no way to know and little reason to care what that impact is.
