I love getting censored

My message seems to have gone to a place I cannot...
I love getting censored (okay maybe it's not deliberate)

maybe someone who can move messages can give me access to my moved messages?

(what I would have said)
I hate these "it sucks so hard why doesn't anyone comment about how bad it is" threads. They're never constructive, and are almost always about how one person wants the game to be their personal pet project.

ya probably; it's mostly a knee jerk reaction from trying yet another time to adapt and finally giving up and throwing in the gauntlet.

I offered other suggestions...

Option) Offer a tuning parameter for turn ratio...

Option) Conform to unity in all directions...

If it's a matter of making it 'real'; then it's still sideways because the engines on the flat of the ship would have better yaw control than pitch...

In the case of a tunable ratio; you could get better performance in a direction by designing such... so if you had equal ability to turn it wouldn't be as good as it could be if you sacrificed another...

You have not been censored, that thread belonged in the Alpha section of the forums as many also posted in there.

I gather you are unable to see the forum for some reason, please contact Ashley Barley with a PM and it will be sorted ASAP. Sorry I am unable to fix this problem right here and now. :(

You can also keep up to date with updated on the link at the bottom of my sig. :)

You'll be in the proper forum soon enough :). If feedback gets spread to other forums it can be easily missed.

One thing to remember with Elite which makes it different is the underlying Newtonian flight model, actual movement in space is way different from most other space, even or more especially the modern ones.

Try flying with flight assist off:

Hey d3x0r,
welcome to the forums :). Don't worry, you'll be reunited with your previous thread soon enough.

Given that the maneuvering thrusters are on the tops and bottoms of the wings, rather than the front and back, they would give better pitch than yaw.

In any case, the team have made a design decision for the flight to focus more on pitch and roll, like WWII combat, rather than yaw. So in order to turn, you first have to roll, then pitch up or down (sorry if that is obvious, but it isn't to everyone).

There is talk that different engines will be available with a variety of parameters like top speed, turning rate, etc. so maybe you'll find something more to your liking in the full game :).
