I love Maia

You know. Of all the systems you can visit in this game, the one that sets the standard for me and has yet to beat is right in our own back yard. This is just sitting on the dock at Palin Research Center.

When I fly from the star Maia via SC towards Obsidian Orbital, suddenly the nebula 'plops' up. Also the planet (Maia 2A) isn't greenish anymore....I'm not sure when this have been changed, but I like it more before this change.

Have the same popping problem. The light suddenly changes too.

I think the popping is because the game can only use one light source and when heading to obsidian there's a moment when it switches from the bright main star to the dim brown dwarf, this causes the nebula to pop in. You probably don't notice it in other systems as the background isn't so bright.

Oh, if it wasn't the for Great Betrayal of Kaushpoos....

I have to admit - I would still Nuke Maia today, even after all this time. Sorry for Palin, but I'd still nuke that whole, entire System.
(I only visit the System if I >must< go to Palin - any interdicting NPC there I go "full raging fury" onto in any Ship (poor NPCs) - can't help it, they just get the full "Path of diabolical hate" treatment. Just the wrong place to Interdict me.)

But the scenery is nice there, no arguing that :D

Its a recent bug, I have been travelling to nebulas (the pleiades were the first) for a long time, and had never seen this happen before the 2.1 update.

There's an AH CMDR in an Engineered Anaconda in Maia who hangs around just outside the slot and tries to blow away anyone who leaves before they can get out of Mass lock. No demands, just PewPewPew.

He blew me away in my A rated DBX in seconds. I tried to get back to the station and was right outside the slot when I blew. The station did NOT fire on him and actually allowed him to dock afterwards!

I tried again (fore-warned is fore-armed) boosting out of the slot at max and he went past me like I was standing still, then he turned, opened fire and my shields were just gone. I kept dodging and boosting and high-waked out with just 6% hull left.

I love playing in Open, but if FD don't do something about the AHs in Engineered ships ruining the game for everyone else, I'm going to have to stop playing in Open.

If you PM me his name, I'll add him to my KOS list. Hate dirt bags like that.
