I Love My Callsign

Depending on account it's either Mike Alpha Romeo or Tango Echo Alpha or sometimes Hotel Oscar Lima

I don't love my Commander name (MetaAverroes*) which was chosen in some haste with very little thought when I first installed the game on the erroneous assumption that I could easily change it later.

However, I soon realized that while I would happily have been rid of the name I was indelibly Mike Echo Tango, having been called that by every station I approached. It took me ages to come up with a better name that also started with M E T, and in fact I've never got round to putting in a ticket to ask for it to be changed.

*The first name to pop into my head was the (I thought) obscure Arabic philosopher and astronomer Averroes. Not that obscure, it turned out. So then I thought, what comes after Averroes?

If you like Mike Echo Tango, but want to change your commander name to something completely different, just make sure all your ship IDs start with MET and then set the option to use ship ID as your callsign. I use the Ship ID option because I like to hear a variation of call signs depending on what I'm flying.
