Well what have you missed:

You can't say anything about credits earned whilst exploring otherwise you will be labelled a non-explorer
You can't say anything about liking the FSS because it upsets those who don't like the new system
You can't say you have found interesting things using the FSS because those who don't like the FSS will accuse you of taking the easy option

Seriously, congratulations on your discoveries, glad you had an enjoyable and immersive time, which is the aim of the new system. Just don't listen to the naysayers, the new system is a lot of fun to use :D

Ouberos? From strider right?

So after watching the livestream again, the new system is an abomination. Its very sad. Watching it again has just brought home how dead this game is for people like myself now.

I forgot to mention how straightforward and easy it is to use too!

Drop into system
Fuel scoop
While honking
Line up on next star
Throttle back
Press F for FSS (Ouberos custom binding. Patent pending)
Check for good stuff
Tune in good stuff
Check for REALLY good stuff
Probe good stuff
Check Orrery for weird orbits (Found two HMC's which look like they collide. Have screen shot. Will return one day and confirm)
Take one last look.
Jump out.

Rinse, repeat. (Or if you're freaky skip the rinse)

Every system is a mini adventure.
