Ships I love my Type-7!

I love my Type-7, have I got a problem?

I love its line, even though the canopy feels like a huge wart on the nose, but I am in it, so I don't see it, and the view from it is great-

I love its engine, even though it overheats every time I flush the toilet or adjust my seat.

I love how it is a tiny ship that only fits large pads: it looks as though the expression "big boned" was invented having the Type-7 in mind.

Or, perhaps, the Type-7 was designed with that specific idea in mind.

I love its 5 hardpoint hatches that can only mount 4 weapons, but you can never use more than 3 at a time (and not without problems).

I thought I was happy in my Keelback, until I got my Type-7: now I don't want to go back.

Nor do I want to go forward.

I was one click away from purchasing a Type-9, but my conscience stopped me.

The Type-7 is one of the ships that's furthest away from perfection, it has its own issues, it has its design blunders, and I love it for that.

It's the engineering failure that you fall in love with: please never change it!

I love my Type-7, I don't have a problem!

Strangely, I found the perfect role for the Type 7 as a Rescue Ship and saved thousands following the recent attacks!

It's certainly good at evading interdictions
Very true: I have never been afraid I was going to lose my tasty biowaste!

Ditto! It's perfect for that role: I just go down the cargo bay, hose down the walls to remove any leftovers, throw a bunch of folding chairs on the floor, and we're ready to save lives!

Since I am saving them, they are not really in a position to complain about the smell, but I can understand why I receive all those messages about them being impatient...

Type 7 engineered for good can make a lot of things ( and make 'em good), it's a "surprise ship" all the way.

I like it too, I use it now for "rescue" missions like the last ones with the bombings. Space for 125 refugees, a cargo rack for 32 scape pods/salvage units for the missions from the rescue mega-ship, 6 collector limpets to do the work, no shields, and 4 heatsinks to keep the ship frosty while doing the pickup. Also very maneuverable for its role, especially in supercruise, it is easy to escape an interdiction

The only thing that I still don't like is the "large pad only". The ship is smaller than the Python by volume, but because of its height, it can't fit medium hangars. Can't Lakon cut 5 meters to the height and add them to the sides? With that, it would be the queen of the outpost hauling... But no, it has to be the Python, once again... :/ Otherwise, it would be one of my most used ships.
