Why do all the military ships have naval names?
Why do we even call them spaceships? We don't call aircraft airships, and we don't call an F-16 Falcon (what's up with the bird names) a Destroyer...

Same with the Starports. I guess the name makes sense if you call the spacecraft spaceships, but...

It's a very good fighter, I just wish that the cockpit is more fleshed out as a fighter. cockpit. In general that is what ED need, more ship specific cockpit and UI.

I've been back in an Eagle the past couple of days since reading this. When I last flew one, I didn't have a DK2. Now it's an absolutely fantastic experience

When should a new commander upgrade ships? Or should I just upgrade systems on the Sidewinder? I have made about 25000 so far but am eager to get into more combat and the loaner guns do not seem to be able to supply the punch required in battle. Advice?

Have to say you got me thinking I need to head down to the dealer to take one for a test drive. Its limited range kept me away, but you make it sound like a fun ride!

I am trying out an eagle at IBootis nav point.
Beam 1g on top and two multicans 1g on bottom. Very fun fights, but you have to manage your temp very closely and you have to auto switch off few systems when guns deployed. Can't travel much, but good for nav point fun, getting bounties against cobras and vipers

Yup, just picked up an Eagle. It's really great with the DK2. I racked up a dozen or so kills near the Federal Distress Beacon and I'm sold. Or at least I was before a Federal Affiliated player came by in a Cobra and ruined my fun.

I'm not familiar with the rest of the ships from the old games, are there any other ships with this nice open canopy?
