+1 yeah me too, but these forums are getting really toxic man, not sure I can handle this place much longer, if I worked at FD, these forums would be soul destroying.



Maybe we could request a new sub-forum for everyone still enjoying themselves and not wanting to get dragged down into the massive but-hurt-reach-around going on…

A good idea. I actually suggest that the mods 'cleanse' the forums by shoving all the whining and complaining threads into a dedicated sub-forum.

So true - BF 3 and 4 were a real mess at the start. ED had a very good start - my only issue is the long download (9 + hours so far) It has given me time to wonder around the forums and say HI!

Have you tried messing with your firewall settings, allowing Elite Dangerous and/or disabling(don't recommened unless you know what you are doing) for a short period during downloads? <--- this has made it faster for me but not guaranteeing anything for anyone else...

Me too. There is probably a huge silent majority who don't even know or care about these forums. FD have the numbers, so I'm sure they can weigh the true scale of satisfaction vs. dissatisfaction. I come here for a bit of light relief and a laugh at people who take this game way too seriously.

Probably? I'd say it's more likely that the silent majority has started quitting the game due to boredom.

I'm loving it. Reading Week is next week, so I'll get to spend some quality time playing it without the guilt that I should be studying.

And as for forum toxicity, I've started to add wet blankets like AtheosisX to my ignore list.

Yeah, I,m being negative now. Don't get me wrong I love this game and want it to be better, but this 1.1 update being released with the serious bugs after being beta tested by some very generous time involvement by fellow cmdrs is disheartening . I've followed the 1.1 beta forum and saw problems developing but FD released to a date ignoring issues, instead of drifting a week to allow testing of fixes in beta. Instead they released beta to the community ---it didn't matter if some people were going to have their game play set back by bugs having their multi M ships blown up and be set back all that time and effort. FD response--- ticket it and we will look into it. Anybody got a time line on ticket response time ---my experience is 2 months to never for the tickets I have entered so don't hold your breath
