I managed to mess up my name in-game, and there is no way to change it.

Hello everybody, my problem today is that my CMDR name in-game is "CMDR Kitsunethe Fluff" when it should be "CMDR KitsuneTheFluff". i know that there is no way to fix this presently within the game, so im posting here in hopes that i may be able to get some sort of help from higher up. Please, notify me if there is any way that you/we/I may be able to help me with my problem. Thanks much!

I think if you clear your save you can rename your CMDR. No promises though.

You could clear your save, but that means losing everything and starting from scratch.

If you haven't progressed in the game much, I'd recommend a Clear Save...this should let you input a new name.
Game Menu > Options > Clear Save

If you have made progress and don't want to lose it, I'd suggest opening a support ticket.

Yeah, im in a kitted out Vulture wit 11 million in the bank, i dont really feel like resetting. However, i can always try the support ticket route.

Yeah, my Pilots License has my name on it, i dont know why i used a K instead for my CMDR.....

Let's get a thread with a poll in it to bring back the Hagglebeard. I for one would vote yes, and we can get a reddit campaign going and a whole bunch of votes will come pouring in.

OOC: An option to change names would be welcomed by many.

I think FD are very reluctant to do it, apart from in exceptional circumstances. However, I don't know that for certain.

We used to have a renaming option accessible through the old support website. I assume they had some reason for removing it. Of course, whether it was a good reason is a different story.
