I may have found a way to make some cash.

This isn't stupid money like the Smeaton runs, but it is respectable money. I don't think it's particularly overpowered, but it can make you some decent cash. I'm not going to elaborate on certain systems, but I noticed something idly looking through the mission board.

Try Agriculture delivery missions. They function similarly to the passenger missions, but they're dependent largely on your cargo space. But some missions can net you a few million and more per ton than basic bulk trading. They likely wont require any stupid stuff like "board flipping". Check them out. You might find a few gems.

There are lots of ways to make cash in Elite. No need for board swapping, silly exploits or stacking missions. As Das Boot says, just by playing the game "normally", one can make a lot of money.

These are standard missions - you get similar missions from extraction economies for silver/gold/palladium. Depending on the target station distance from the insertion point, you can be offered up to 8 or 9 million for 180t.

I've made 70 million over the last 24 hours doing my BGS work in a Python and Anaconda.

This is stacking missions, though. They won't need board flipping, and they can frequently go to the same location. Occasionally you'll see one that pays you a few million for transporting stuff. The thing is, it's not wildly stupid money, but it's not like it's not worth some time and a jot through supercruise. But it's nowhere near like Smeaton runs. It is more lucrative than standard trading, though.

I have missions paying 8M to scoop 4 abandoned canisters from space, paying 5M to deliver a message to another station in the same system, paying 8M to kill 12 skimmers or paying 5M to donate 4T of cargo.

If people were playing the game instead of looking for cash they'd find the cash coming to them.

Congratulations, you have discovered the mission board.

Pretty sure that sort of thing is state and economy dependent.

Milk it while its there.

Boom economy in Agriculture land; the system I'm at seems to want to pay me to rain booze and cigars on a certain system nearby. I'm in a haulage Python at the moment, but it makes me want to strip out my Anaconda's combat gear and haul more stuff with it. The type 9 is infuriatigly tough to maneuver in and I don't have the rank for a Cutter. In fact, that's why I want to make cash ATM, to have the cash to unlock, then fit and equip a Cutter for haulage and potentially take it out to do some shootin' properly engineered.

Agricultural?
I always thought Boom-time deliveries for Extraction Economies (upto ~10M for a 180ton Palladium Haul) was all the rage in large Cargo Ships.

Is the "Premium Biowaste" back? xD

I've done mission board stuff before. I'm on a delivery run right now that will pay me a good 11 million credits; looking at the missions I didn't have room to pick up, I'm looking at a good 20-30 million credits if I'd had one of the bigger ships instead of my Python. That's not Smeaton's insanity, but that will fund my future endeavors well.

Just to clarify, when people say mission stacking they usually don't refer to taking several missions but to a bug that allowed you to complete several missions by only fulfilling one mission.

Nope. Just beer, wine, and tobacco.

Granted, I'm hauling about 100,000 ls in Supercruise to the target system. But they're paying me money so I'm doing the hauling.
