General / Off-Topic I need a good gaming chair...but not ridiculously priced...

Those chairs look cool but they also look like they'd force the head forwards (because of a high back). I had a similar chair for a while and all I got from it was a neck strain that I still haven't completely recovered from. But it depends on your body shape and how long you intend to sit in it. If it's hours on end, try to avoid the "ergonomically designed" chairs. I think they're designed by MDs who want you to visit their clinics.

Kinda for both actually. But more durable then an office chair. My problem is i'm 6'5 240 lbs. So I go through office chairs on a regular basis. ;) Hell maybe I should just grab a seat out of a car and modify it.
I am 6'0 210 and my DXracer chair is money well spent. Cost around $300
And last many years. Good office chairs cost around $150 so if it last you more then 2 years it's a great buy.

You could always transcend the whole office chair / desk paradigm :D

I'm looking at one of these - anyone have any recommendations/issues with them?

I have the King series for past few months .. my back is thanking me BIG time over the cheap rubbish you get for 1-200 bucks that I replaced yearly.

The only small issue I have is that with the arms adjustable, you cannot hold an arm to move the chair without them clicking out of place. Chair is just too heavy/solid I guess.

Quality wise, it seems very good on close inspection too.

People often see these as expensive but over a few years this will be much cheaper than all those standard chairs that used to kill my back after a few hours.

I have a DX Racer I'm quite happy with. I removed the armrests because I don't like them, and need the space because I also use the chair when I play the guitar. I bought it nearly a year ago, it's still like new. I would have liked if there had been simple colors available, like grey and black, instead of flashy racing colors. I don't use the additional cushions, the lower one is very uncomfortable for me, and the little one for the head is too small, and gets in the way when I wear a headset and turn my head.

Cheers mate. I'm sold :D

No worries at all!

Hope you like yours as much as I have mine :)

The one I got was a carbon and black one, they do exist, although the bright ones seem to be more popular for some reason.

There are a few that are all black or some grey and black etc, but maybe not available everywhere?
