So, I worked for a penal colony today...


I take a mission, completed it and come back to find 'Anonymous Protocols' for landing and I'm confused. Then I remembered that the mission said it was illegal but I assumed they planned on letting me slide on the illegal part since they gave me the mission.


Nope!


Fined 50,000 credits, then they put me in prison!


So the reward i wanted was 'Risk Assessments', which true to their word the gave me when i got back from prison.


I read the Risk Assessment and it said, 'Do not take illegal missions from penal colonies, its far to risky!"


I gotta say they risk assessments are pretty spot-on!


Which brings me to my need for a human-rights attorney because this has to be THE most obvious case of legal entrapment ever!

UPDATE: they just gave me contraband to sneak into a military prison. I love these guys!

As of 5 days ago a carrier was selling Risk Assessments.

You can post in the ody mats thread that you are looking for them, and someone might put them up for sale if you do not find them via legal missions.

The worst bit for me is I'm a fine upstanding member of the community without even a parking ticket to my name, but one of the Engineers wants her clients to be a little bit on the dodgy side

So here I am with a rifle snuggled uncomfortably in my arms, about to sneak into a settlement to steal something

Back when I first started Elite (3 years ago now!) I genuinely had qualms about smuggling slaves/imperial slaves. I told myself I really didn't want to be 'that' kind of cmdr. Now I regularly smuggle battle weapons, narcotics and slaves all over the place...especially if I want to destabilise systems/PMF's etc. Where did my scruples go??

They generally need to police stations better. There are people literally just standing round the concourse shouting "HEY! ARE YOU GOOD WITH A GUN!", let alone having 'BLACK MARKET' as a menu option. I'm also perennially surprised that dropping a heat sink and blasting through the toast rack when scanned isn't considered 'suspicious behaviour'. That never works for me in real-life airports...
