Horizons I need an explanation!!!!!

so i was doing a smuggling and when i get to the star system that i needed to deliver the quest to, well i got interdicted 7 times by both pirates and security in a 100 LS difference from the sun to the station i needed to go, so i get the dev's want to make things hard, is understandable but not to the point is stupidly hard, no maybe am going too soft, "THIS IS BEYOND STUPID"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. just incase people ask, I had only one quest on me not 10 or 20 just 1.

Yea, there are days like that in smuggler's life.

I was wondering why I haven't been interdicted, yet, today. Seems like everybody's after you, then. Good work, sir! o7

I was interdicted by NPC system security for being a smuggler, even though I'd only just started a mission to retrieve data from a surface outpost. I mean, really, I hadn't even scanned the data point at that time. The [DIRECT] message said something about smuggling. My other gripe is to be pulled over for smuggling and there isn't even anything in my hold. So interdictions kinda suck at the moment. :)

Sorry, I've edited my post. NPC system security kept interdicting me (I evaded), but the [DIRECT] message said something about smuggling. Very strange!

'I would like an explanation'

What are you twelve ...

well i was wondering when the trolls would show up we got one guys lol, and please asking me if am twelve, why don't you rethink about posting something more helpful instead of making your self look like a fool. well than again it seems from the comment you posted you got nothing to do. you know theres lots in this world to do instead of criticize others just a little tip to be more like a grown up. now think hard who's the one thats twelve now?

To be completely fair I nearly ignored this post because of the way the OP and title was written so I have to forgive Originalbadboy for his comments. Your response here made me want to respond yet I still have a few doubts.

Anyway, putting tone aside the response that I was going to give:
The Developers noticed that people were not playing the interdiction mini-game, everyone was submitting and boosting straight away back to supercruise. Originally NPC's wouldn't follow and it'd be a 100% easy way to get to your destination without too much hassle.
Their response was to make NPC's respawn behind you and "chase" you through the system unless you do something to actively stop them.

Things you can do:
-Evade in the minigame
-Kill the NPC
-Jump to another system and back in
-Drop cargo
If it's police chasing you then you also have the option of dropping into USS/WSS/SSS and hoping that you get some pirates, if that happens generally the police ship will engage them and usually die fulfilling option 2 on the list above.

^^ this! At least its with the cops - they will pursue you until you kill 'em or boost->SC->get interdicted>repeat until you reach your destination!

I have to do this now anyway. I used to either submit and fight or beat the minigame but a couple of patches ago they broke it (for me) either the escape vector zips from one side of my screen to the other instantly or even when perfectly on the button the red bar goes up instead of the blue, I have not been able to beat an interdiction since so I just submit and boost.

Well, it also depends on how many smuggling missions you are doing, if you are stacking them like a lot do, then yes, you are going to get a lot of people after you?

I've noticed that you will have as many chasers (there abouts) as you have accepted missions.

It wasn't bad when I had 1 mission, but when I took 6 at a time... Well let's just say it got interesting real quick. :)

I only failed the last one. :) ( darn coppers!)

The basic point to this thread, is the player isn't enjoying his game play experience. It's becoming a familiar part of more and more threads here on the forums since Horizons / 1.5.

Try using directional thrusters, apparently these work during interdictions although I've not tested it conclusively, I'm only going from what someone else said works :p

They did hit the interdictions with a cricket bat during 1.4, it's possible to avoid bigger ships easily enough but a high ranked viper or cobra will pretty much dominate any other ship it tries to attack.
I find that in my trading Anaconda I can beat any NPC ship bigger than a Python in the minigame and I can kill any ship smaller if I drop out. The only interdiction I will ever run from is a wing, and then I use the hyperspace in and out route.

There's also a number of things you can do to prevent being interdicted in the first place.
-Don't engage in powerplay
-Don't take missions
-Don't have a bounty
-Don't carry cargo
-Do carry weapons
-Fly a combat ship

Theres probably a few other things I forgot too but basically there's a chance of interdiction and it gets lower the more of the above you can tick :p
