I need clarification on Hats Fantastic

Hi y'all,
I've never been interested in unlocking outfits for my avatar since PZ launched really...But tonight I noticed in my franchise zoo I had new options I've neveeer seen before, including a frog hat, snow leopard and moose.

Can you guys confirm whether unlocking outfits via community challenges unlocks hats for Hats Fantastic?
Even the Wiki doesn't mention anything about this and my Google searches didn't have any answers.

If challenges unlocked merch for Hats Fantastic, I would have been doing them this whole time, and now I'm stressed about there not being anymore opportunities after this anniversary one. Oh looord.

No, the new hats have been added for everybody with the last update. You don't need to do anything to unlock them. Long ago they also added the crane hat for free.

Ah ok, thank you. I wish all the hats were available for Hats Fantastic.
