Modes I play solo

I think the idea is that these wing missions can be attempted by anyone, regardless of whether or not they're in a wing. But I do think they should have their own section within station services.

Wing cargo missions are the ideal opportunity to "twink" your 2nd account- do a wing mission on 1st account but dont hand in. Log onto your 2nd account from Steam and share the mission to your 2nd Cmdr. Alt tab across to your 2nd Cmdr to accept and then alt tab back to the first to complete the mission. Hey presto your 2nd Cmdr can now also complete the mission for a freebie payment of Mcr for doing absolutely nothing........

Not sure it works on xbox like that. Might take a look later though.

I do the Winged Cargo missions solo in my Type 9.

Good source for Exquisite Focus Crystals.

I've seen plenty of solo missions offering the same reward, and more credits, for far less tons.

Good for you! It is ironic as earlier I posted about the joy of moving from solo to open!

Only play solo because the game runs smoothly. Nav-lock and KWS are under maintenance until further notice btw.

I must say that I like to see Commanders making money in wings but I lost my income CZs Mission Wings are just crazy ---> kill 200 ships for 1,3 mil sorry not me, I am unemployed.

I just looked for Bulletin Board trying to find Microwave Cooling Hoses ... found, done.

They can... but they don't offer really much better rewards for a solo player than normal missions. If the payout was considerably buffed and then the rewards SHARED rather than duplicated for Wing participants, it might be the best of all worlds...

Not too sure about that. Last night I decided to switch to Moebius from solo and the first thing I get greeted by is some clown coming into the station at stupid speed. I was in my Cutter, saw him coming, and considered heading towards the mail slot to see what he'd do. But no, I was nice and waited until he zoomed into the station, then I left, and switched back to solo. Should have bounced him off the walls...

If you hang your hat at a popular station, even Moebius gets tiresome with some of the idiots that hang out there.

With respect but you are missing the best of the game, which is the interaction with other human commanders.

Yesterday I had a nice chat with one commander. He was flying he's Conda and we meet at a nav point. It's more frequent to find friendly Cmdr that what you would think, and I also love the chance of finding not so friendly ones...

You have to be prepared, but It's fun and it feels alive...

Flying solo is another game entirely... not for me...

As for the wing missions, I often pick them without buddies, so no reason not to be in solo mode...

With respect but what is the best of the game for you is sometimes not the best of the game for others. I understand Solo isn't for you, but for some Open and or PG's are not for them. All in all it is the same game with a variety of ways to play.

I am guilty of that if I am doing smuggler missions and trying not to be scanned. But I try to keep an eye for other PC traffic.

Its so true. Each person plays the game for different reasons some may be similar but different. Shoot some days I play for different reasons (im so random).
What some find fun others never will, that applies no matter what your personal preferences are. The modes allow us all to play together regardless of our personal whims although the style of play is most often indirect it still allows us all to play together regardless of mode, time zone, geographic location or platform. Thats worth a lot (of course all in my own opinion)

And we are all entitled to our opinions, likes, and dislikes.

The only thing I get out of playing with others is the chance to see some cool looking ships. But it doesn't take long for that to wear off, and I find socializing with strangers in a game who I would never hang out with in real life tiresome at best. But that's just me.
