i pre ordered planet coaster. how do i play alfa?

i bought the game and see a bunch of people able to play on youtube. how come i cant play. pls help

did you purchase the "Early Bird Alpha Edition" or just the standard pre-order?

Then you don't have access to Alpha. Alpha is included only in the 67€ Early Bird Edition

If you do upgrade to the Alpha Edition, just log in to your frontier store account and click my downloadable products. You will see a download button next to Planet Coaster. It will download the launcher. Follow instructions to install launcher then it will download Planet Coaster

Please correct me if im wrong. But he has the gold Frontier logo in his post. Doesn't that mean he owns the Early access version?

Typically yes but it's also possible he purchased the upgrade package without having a pre-order package in the first instance. In this eventuality he may get the forum background but would be unable to actually download the game.

I take it no forum background means you don't own the game - like Creaper - his post above to me is just plain.

Yes but there are individuals who have purchased via secondary accounts but post on the forums with their original account so it's not foolproof.
