I see a fair few complaints on the "copy-paste" nature of the outfit packs.

To begin, I completely agree. It's getting old.

But I don't really see what else people would like to see their characters wear. Hence this thread.

It's no secret that I'm a big supporter of the cosmetics store. And I'm happy to discuss that aspect of FD's business model in another thread should anyone feel the need to talk about that issue.

This thread is, however, simply an "I think this would be cool" thread.

So what kind of outfits would you like to see?

i've bought a lot of costume packs, but this seems to be like the fourth/fifth/not even sure variant of this current design. they all kinda remind me of...ski suits? i keep expecting to see goggles.

something a bit less 1980s gymnasium coloured. ditch the primaries, mute it, make stuff look rusty and worn. not steampunk, but a little roguish and patchwork would be great. some of the pirate designs are almost there, but they need to include some jackets instead of just the body suit.

I can't possibly imagine why they have not made eye patches yet...

They don't have to be simple pieces of cloth either. Like the Solid eye it could be used to interface with our ship and whatnot.

It's a bit boring of me, but... I want more hair styles. All the male ones suck so hard. And different styles of Remlock helmet, or at least ones with patterns on or something.

More head items. It's the only bit we really see.

Really, Frontier could have sold one pack with variants in it for slightly more; instead they choose a MINOR reskin at full price. Shocking as that is...

It highlights that we need more variety.

A jacket, pants, and boots would be really cool. Oh, we already have a jacket, pants, and boots? Well I guess there can only be one kind of jacket, pants, and boots in the entire game, so there goes my idea.

• bulky sci-fi "space armor". You can do a million variations of these. Bonus points for anything with giant spherical shoulder parts so I can cosplay as Samus Aran.
• I want those hilarious and terrible looking sunglasses that some of the pirate and anarchy factions wear on the mission board.
• hoods and head-wraps for space-wizards and space-muslims alike.
• Different helmets.
• A formal business suit and/or tux style outfit.
• collars, bracers, belts, holsters, bandoliers, pouches, all manner of strappy things which attach to the body.
• There are obviously plenty more haircuts, beard shapes, and eyebrow shapes which ought to be added.
• A flight cap like real astronauts wear under their helmets. I think this is already in the game when you use the transparent helmet option, but you should be able to have it *without* a helmet.
• more weird eye replacements. Bulky external lense things, borg-like contraptions that attach to your face, Adam Jensen-style "my eyes *are* my sunglasses, etc.
• Resporators, gas masks, oxygen masks, etc.
• Accessories with dumb jagged impractical spikes all over them, to match the raider ship kits.

Could I have some nice slippers and a dressing gown? My ship is my home after all.

I'm not suggesting that I'd leave the ship dressed like that when space legs arrive. Unless I needed some bread. Or some blue milk. Or was just feeling a bit lazy...

Oh wait I just thought of two more brilliant ideas:

• The same jacket, but zipped up all the way.
• The same jacked, but unzipped.

This is 100% guaranteed to triple Frontier's jacket sales with only a minimum amount of additional work.

Bonus:
• The same jacket, but with the sleeves pushed up.

It's not a minimum amount of work, they'd have to remodel the whole jacket. Which means they may as well make a completely new one.
