You take normal relic from guardian site then you put it I Thargoid machine and activate it. The machine goes crazy and by the end it transforms the normal blue relic into green unknown relic.

AFAIK, unlock requirements for engineers is bugged at the moment. On a new alt that I started I've gotten several invites that I shouldn't have. I did have a meta alloy with me when visiting Farseer, but forgot to sell it and she let me engineer to G5 with no problems.
Could be a samaritan dev making xmas present to alleviate the hoop jumping.
Nah, this was already a month or two back, and I've seen others mentioning the same thing here on the forum. It's clearly bugged, but I can't be arxed to look for or to create a bug report for it..
