The whole mentality of enjoying the journey; I never got it. I wanted the next biggest baddest ship to conquer the galaxy. Last night that started to change.

I had swapped into an adder to fly over to where my Asp had been stationed (I just picked up a vulture and was going to sell my a-class combat asp for outfitting cash on the vuture). It was about 400 LY away in empire space. I outfitted the adder to near A-class, but kept it lightweight to maximize jump range. You know, you can find a lot of cool things in a 400 LY span. It should have taken me about 15 minutes to get there, but I ended up way out in uncharted space because I saw a cool nebula was not that far away.

By the time I finally headed back, I had found one earthlike planet, visited the nebula (which was awesome!) and had about 300k in basic scan data. Instead of selling the asp and gear, I outfitted it for exploration. Sagittarius A*, Here I come!

Since I know this is going to happen to me too, as an Asp owner I have 1 question, why an Adder over the Asp you already own, that could be easily outfitted for exploring instead of battle?

I'm in the asp now. I use the adder as a jump shuttle to get to my different ship locations. It's cheep to outfit and no big deal if it gets popped.

Any ship can be outfitted for exploration, I'm in a Cobra with a 25LY jump range. More than enough for a journey to the core. It's also cheap and rebuy is low.

Now, imagine when you will be able to land on the planets you discover...
