I try to play, but...

... all 10 minutes the game disconnect from the server... or crash to desktop... i send my Dumps... but thats annoying... Is there only one Space Station? How the Server System works? is there a way to communicate? Testing is ok, but thats extremely boring with 4 Ships and 1 Station. :(

You might want to try in less full hours, might stay connected better if there are not so many others around at the same time.

Network code is still a major concern and devs are working on improving it. It seems to me that during the last days of Alpha sales number of Alpha players significantly increased, which is also proved by the prolongation of Alpha sales until Monday. Increased number of players affect stability, hence CTDs, lags, fps drops.

As far as I know PCs establish p2p connections and there are several instances at the same time.

Hallo!

There is only one station, but it exists, or a version of it exists, in several parallel universes.

I've not logged on today but there's a lot of reports of issues. These may or may not resolve over the weekend.

Keep flying Commander, all will be well.

Tchuss.

Yep generally the busier it is, the less stable it is, and lately it has got really really busy.

I'm really hoping to see a huge improvement in Alpha 4.0, but I can't help but be a little concerned about it being a bit of a long term issue.

i am not sure...

P2P cannot be the solution... after respawn or jump i am always anywhere else... it is not possible to put thousands of players in one Solar System, but...maybe a little Trick helps... Players are listed and connected to a Master server, but this MasterServer only manage the position of the Player in virtual Server space. Players can tell the MasterServer that they are grouped...and the Masterserver takes care that they stay together.
excuse my english please

Multiplayer is allways difficult, especially if it is a game that saves the players progress. (Hacking/Cheating etc...) Who ever played DayZ knows what i mean...
In Elite Dangerous it is dangerous :)

PvP means: who hesitates dies!!
But i think that Elite should not become a Space DayZ^^
That of course includes that some areas are dangerous for some people... and the AI blow the hell out of those who wanne try pain. :D

I am not sure but this is the first MMO Try for FD isnt it?

There won't be 1000 of players in the same instance. I have read in discussions that the player number will be limited to about 32. There was discussion somewhere in Alpha Backer Forum that it was design decision to not use dedicated servers. Dedicated servers will be used for Star Citizen, even though it is planned to limit the max number of players in the instance to about 100.
