I was thinking today that it might be fun to start with a single stock sidey and see how much I can make in 4 hours of play.

I was-a-gonna buy a second account.


Anyone wanna make some estimates? I think 30 million. Maybe I should live stream it?

A few weeks ago you could buy Elite + Horizons for under 10 bucks.
At the moment I haven't encountered any sales.
There will most likely be a Halloween sale later this month.

I might just bite it and buy a full price copy from fdev, cuz like. I don't mind supporting the devs and whatnot. We shall see how motivated I get when I do this.

I just started a new account, it's actually quite fun. Even did the new tutorial to see how good it is; I was pleasantly surprised and wish it was around when I started! I didn't really challenge myself to acquire as much cash as fast as possible, however, I have a fully A-rated Asp-X and Vulture in about 20 hours on that account. I imagine your estimate of 30M in 4 hours isn't out of the question.

I re-roll once (sometimes twice) a year, 6 weeks ago I re-rolled my Save and within 10 hours I was at 1 billion. Quite simple now to get a lot of money fast.

Done this re-roll as a self challenge on how fast I could make 1 billion credits!

  • Sidewinder - 1 hour of bounty hunting killing anything the cops are shooting at. Made 1 million credits.
  • Bought a Hauler, set for Exploration - Road to riches 50 systems, took about 2 hours. Made 57 million
  • Bought a Python set for mining - Mined Painite for next 8 hours, estimate of around 1+ billion Credits (Don't recall the exact amount).
  • Bought what ever I want (outside of Naval Rank ships).
  • Took additional 2 weeks to sort Naval ranks, Engineers(80% done) and Guardian bits and pieces.
Currently 6 weeks into new Cmdr save now, and have more money then to know what to do with, all naval ranks done, Guardian parts done, have around 80% of engineers completed. Elite isnt hard once you know what to do and when/where and how to go about it when kicking off a clear save or new account.
