I want Elite to be Babylon 5!

O.k. So.... O.k. La

Currently Binge watching Babylon 5 and I have to say this is what Elite should be!

It should be rich in character interaction, and political intrigue.

I wonder if the modding community will take hold of Elite and flesh it out!!

Google "I've found her" as there is a free fan-made B5 game that is extremely well put together (pretty sure most of the devs work in the industry). It has a fairly similar flight model to ED other than the fact it will happily let you accelerate to silly speeds making combat rather interesting if you are heavy-handed on the boost button. Hyperspace is genuinely creepy.

I will defo play this... but I meant that Elite should be like Babylon 5 and not totally devoid of life and culture.

Huge B5 fan here, I have all the series and films on DVD and try to watch it 2-3 times a year.

Although the graphics are quite poor now, the stories and characters are still truly amazing indeed! I just love it!

I'm going to check that game out now, thanks

Evertime I dock I just think babylon 5.

Ah, one of the best scifi series ever.
Doing a lot of missions for some corporate faction lately.
Seeing myself as Garibaldi as he was in season 5.
Wonder if there's some faction out there called 'Edgars Industries'

I very much doubt if Elite will ever become anything like B5. the stories were up close, personal and you actually identified with the characters (G'Kar is my role model

but my studetns think I'm a Vorlon and my colleagues think I'm Mr Morden!) The point is - as events in the Elite galaxy unfold you are never more than a bystander, or a bit player. Possibly cannon fodder. There is one exception - what's out on the Rim? Did Erimus see anything large and black, like someone had walked on his grave?
