I want to fly around and spend no more than 10 minutes finding a player. Then I want to shoot him down, kill him, take his cargo, loot, money. Then I want to send him a message and thank him for the loot he provided me.

Can this be done, or is this yet another carebear mmo like world of warcarft?

EVE is perfect for you. Kidding aside, Elite can do some of that, but you'll need to work for it. For example, you'll need to try to get the player to voluntarily drop his cargo for you by messaging him in-game and hope that your puny starting Sidewinder poses enough of a threat and/or you'll need to attach a hatch breaker and try to force open his cargo hatch to get some of his cargo. That takes work, and you're more likely to be met with resistance or successful escape attempts than cargo. You CAN shoot other players, and when you do so, you'll become WANTED and obtain a bounty yourself. That's an open invitation for NPCs, other players and stations to open fire on you. If you do decide to go this way, please post a message on the forum with your location and I'll be happy to pay you a visit. I'll even put some palladium, platinum or gold in my cargo hold for you.

Yes! You can do that easily! Most systems have several players hanging around asteroid belts mining so they are easy to find, and mining ships usually have no weapons so.. fun fun fun!

Definitely buy this game it is a pirates dream!
