Hi fellow Coaster Heads! 
So why the provocative thread title? Simply because it would mean that there's not enough money being raised for Special Effect!
Last year I was lucky to win a place at dinner with the Planet Coaster devs. I had a great time meeting Bo, Dean, Jonny, Matthew, Sam, Zac and my fellow coaster heads. I learnt a lot about what it took to make Planet Coaster, the vision and passion of the devs, what they're each working on and what goes on behind the scenes (once the NDA was signed). Great company, great food, a great time and a lovely shiny signed Planet Coaster poster to boot!
I was surprised to win because I didn't bid very high - I bid what I could afford, considering that I don't live in the UK and needed to pay for travel, accommodation, etc. On reflection, I think that it actually cost Frontier more to host the dinner than our bids actually raised for Special Effect.
What's that I hear you say? "That can't be right" - you're correct, it can't be! We need to raise more! There must be plenty of you who can afford to bid much more than me, because you won't have to pay to fly to another country! I hope you can prove me right.
In addition, we owe it to the devs to make sure they actually have dinner with genuine Coaster Heads! I love playing the game, but I don't have any where near enough time to play it and do it justice - a fact that was not lost on our beloved Sam Denney who christened me "The Imposter"* once my thin veneer of coaster knowledge had been seen through!
This year, I will bid a little more, because I feel guilty about last year and because I still want to win! But, if I do win a place at dinner with the devs again I will be furious because it will mean we're not raising enough money and because Sam may again have to suffer the pleasure of my company
I look forward to being utterly thrilled not to win this auction, please please me!
