I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW:

I started this new thread for those needing info on "how to".

1st question:

when discovering geysers and fumaroles on planets,
you are in orbital cruise scanning the planet/moon, what are the indications for exploring the POI's on said body?
I explore alot, and have never found any of the listed POI's on a new planet, even those previously discovered are very hard to locate, some I still haven't found after several attempts.

None, you can't see surface POI's in orbital cruise, you have to be either in glide mode or normal space.

Go to the geyser and fumarole thread in the exploration sub-thread, there's all the help you need there, just general discussion is not the best place.

If you have coordinates and fly to those coordinates in normal space or glide you will see the POI, if you are in orbital cruise you won't see any surface POI's.

Using the Nav markers on the HUD is a big pain inna butt, as most will tell you,
I have given up on POI's etc. until the Nav is fixed,
thanx for the response

I have no problems with the navigation markers when they are working properly, after all it's just a compass you can follow, however at the moment it appears to be bugged so I wouldn't really worry about using it at all.
