They should charge to autopilot in super cruise instead.
It'll be the first "Pay to not play or win anything" scheme and get them fantastic publicity.
But i've said it before, you need to have a "free" portion to whatever in game items you sell. IE some more mundane and less interesting items are free or obtained through a slower grindy process.. the sparkly cooler stuff is paid.
Perfect example is the TF2 hat economy. People can still collect and mess about with their toons and items for free creating their own trading and pricing systems. But you gotta pay for the shiny stuff. Or look at WoW, they make mount "collecting" a thing in game with achievements etc and then oh look, paid mounts.
Giving people zero options other than to pay is never gonna attract more than the die hards.
