Elite Dangerous are interesting.
Will I be able to play Rift S comfortably?

When I jumped into VR a few years ago it was with an i5 4670k, GTX 1060 6GB & 16GB DDR3 RAM, so not a million miles away from your setup.

Running ED at 1.0 SuperSampling and other settings mostly High, looked fine though it did have the occasional stutter and my Rift CV1 often went into ASW (45fps). Putting ED into low settings gave mostly smooth performance at all times.

By the time I moved across to the Rift S I’d upgraded my computer completely, but I didn’t notice any performance differences between the headsets - the drop to 80fps seems to compensate for the increased clarity screen.

Lenovo explorer here and similar PC with 4670K, RX480 8GB and 16GB ddr3-1600. ssampling 1.0 and mostly high and its very playable in 90% of the time.
low or mostly medium settings is buttery smooth.
So i bet u will be fine playing VR on your set @Tven
