Ice Geyser on Europa

Never having seen them elsewhere, I decided to go visit Europa and check out the Ice Geysers there. Nifty neat and all, but I succumbed to temptation, and drove my SRV over one of the large ones... and was launched damn near into orbit. I laughed so hard, then decided to see if I could actually land my SRV safely... and DID! Didn't even compromise the chassis.

I suggest it as a fun thing to try.

:D

Yup, best combination is a powerful geyser and low grav moon.. Nearly threw up trying it in VR the first time, ended up driving back and doing again a few times more.

There are reports of Commanders reaching escape velocity and drifting off into space this way. I've only seen videos of them almost making it, so I can't confirm :)

I can believe it. It took nearly 5 minutes for me to start coming back down. I was starting to wonder if I even WOULD.

Yup. It was very good! Dare I say that I preferred it to 2001.

The visuals were outstanding ... and very accurate.
Let alone the atmospheric braking in Jupiter's atmosphere one of the best.
I really like this movie ... no pew pew but excellent suspence and a benevolent ending I think. o7

You can say that if you want.

Sometimes I load up an MP3 of the Blue Danube, and I slowly enter a wheel station whilst keeping my rotation matched to the station
