ICourier docking behaviour

Hi.

Bought an ICourier and kitted it out to be ..... well ..... a courier

What I noticed, was that now it's all lightweight and engineered for speed, when I use the docking computer at a planetary station, it often bounces of the landing pad before coming to rest. No damage, just wondering why it does it.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

I had an eagle do that...

I was doing a whole bunch of engineering at Selene Dion's armour place, taking ships down one by one to get specials on them. I chucked in a docking computer to make the job a bit easier

When my Eagle (enhanced dirties etc) auto landed it bounced up like a rubber ball - thought it might go pop but it settled down the second time.

It's a pretty well-known "quirk".

Had the same thing happen to me.
"working as intended", apparently. [where is it]

*EDIT*

Best one I had was boosting toward a platform in my iCourier, requested, docking, the autopilot took over, swooped down and made a flawless landing... facing the wrong way.
Whereupon the DC spent about 5 seconds gathering it's thoughts then lifted off again, did a half-spin and then landed properly.

Dc can't handle super fast ship, its been like that for as long as i can remember
You can avoid it by approaching the dock and engaging the dc at short range, or just don't bother because it's hilarious :p
Seems like the gears that crank out the docking computes don't spin so well under high g manouvers :D
