Hello everyone,
I am getting back into ED. I am still in the PvE side of things, but ultimately I'd like to get into PvP.
I like flying small, nimble ships with strong lateral thrusters. I like dogfighting, trying to stick to the 6 of my opponent. I don't enjoy jousting and flying a ship so tanky you can reversky you way out of everything, especially in PvE.
Thus, I was thinking of flying a Vulture for PvE and later, for PvP (possibly among other ships).
I was thinking of first equipping it with gimballed lasers to first focus on my distance control and lateral thrusters, then move on to fixed lasers for PvE and plasmas for PvP.
I really like the ship, but some comment I read on Reddit a while ago stupidly stuck with me and I can't shake it off. It basically said that because the Vulture is such a tanky and nimble ship, you develop bad habits and it ultimately makes you a worse pilot.
Is this even remotely true?
