I'd Like To Get to Jaques Station

Hello! I want to make the trip to Colonia finally, and I've made a vessel for the job.

I outfitted an ASP for purely exploration, it's got 46 LYs of jump range with a full tank and 55 max using Farseer's G5 FSD range boost modification, and I wanna head to Jaques.

I would highly appreciate it if you could write me down a route of 23 or 22 checkpoints, each 1000 or so LYs from each other on the way to Jaques, with the first one being on the edge of the bubble.

Thank you in advance and best regards,

If you're interested, there's a major expedition heading out there in a few weeks : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/296494-CCN-The-Christmas-Carriers-Convoy

Erimus's Waypoint map is great, has some nice places to see along the way. I used this myself as I went on the initial run out there with many others. But on other runs I just pointed towards Jaques and started my journey. Being off the main highway, I found many systems unclaimed. One even being a ELW not far outside the bubble :)

It's a fun run, whether you use Erimus's route or just point in the direction and go. Many amazing sights to see, and systems to discover. Enjoy the run, I can not wait to take my Beluga out there once 2.2 drops.

I love exploring. But i tend to get distracted easily. A couple of weeks ago i set of to jacques station. Came across a cool nebula and thought I'd check out a couple along the way. But wasn't watching the direction of travel and ended up in barnards loop.

Plan on going to jacques when 2.2 drops. Hopefully I'll make it this time.

If you go the paths down others already did you'll not discover new things.
Ok, space is that big, that there is something left also for you. But you surely know what i mean.

I will leave for Colonia after 2.2 Release and I will make my own way. My current flight plan describes a bow to Colonia rather than a direct course.
Maybe it will take a bit longer but finally I want to be there where nobody was before me, and find 2 or 3 ELW first discoveries along the road.

Miklos

If you want to do your own route.

Drop down to -100 in the vertical coordinate - this means you'll avoid the brown dwarfs at around -50 throughout the galaxy.

Bookmark Jaques and head in that general direction plotting 900-1000ly at a time. It is approx 400ly "west" and 800ly "north" per plot, if you look down on the galaxy and consider up north.

Once you've passed the final arm gap you can start to head down toward Jaques at -900 in the vertical coordinate - if you head down before the final gap you will have trouble with star density.
