I'd Love To Help Evacuate Sol ... BUT

Well, I got an in-game message begging for help to evacuate Sol.

I'd love to, but there is one problem - I am still in Colonia, waiting for you to fix the settlement loot bug - that you haven't even had the decency to comment on.

The "choice" you have left me with is this:

To fly back from Colonia, to at some point return to unlock the last 2 engineers that I need, that require mats that cannot be found doing missions, wasting hours of my life. Not unlocking them isn't a choice fo me, I have to unlock them (OCD).

Or, to miss out on a major story advance.

There are several major bugs blocking progression at this point, and you decide now is a good time to advance the story? Seriously?!

So is this seeming desire to annoy your player base working as intended or is it a bug?

If you would like to help evacuate Sol I would suggest the first option, fly back (or Sidewinder cheese) to the bubble and do so, then return to Colonia to finish your business there at a later date. If you enjoy being frustrated by things out of your control then I would suggest staying in Colonia to stew on the futility of your predicament.

bugs suck and I sympathise with you there however going to colonial was always meant to be a decision with consequences. as it is it has been made FAR quicker than it used to be

people migrate to colonial to escape the bubble and all the crap that goes with it.... you surely can't then complain that your characters nomadic life choice has taken them out of civilisation

also .... I get OCD being frustrating. I have a touch of it myself (in coop games such as borderlands 3 it causes issues as I always have to fully uncover the fog of war in a map.and I made rules for my character at the elite dangerous games launch which absolutely are holding me back now.... but I just can't relax them.

however you can't expect FD to change or delay parts of the game due to a handful of players OCD

It's your choice to try to sit out a bug that you don't know when it gets fixed in Colonia instead of traveling back long ago and enjoy other gameplay that is available. I'd gone back to the bubble and postponed the engineer unlocking spree to a later date if I was in your position quite a while ago. You just limit yourself with insisting on waiting for a bug fix.

My advice: Sod the Colonia engineers, go back to the bubble and participate in what looks like to be some fun times.

I would help, but have no permit for Sol, so I can't. Can I?

Nvm, just read the message and they lifted it temporary.

I think you are right.

If I were you, I would be very afraid of coming back.
Let me tell you why.

You see, what if fdev conspired, tricked you to go to colonia, created software bugs then timed the move of the last titan when you are away ?

If so, then there is a decent chance that when you arrive at SOL, fdev will move the titan to Colonia.

Please do let me know when you start traveling back so that I can get to Colonia on time !
