Newcomer / Intro I'd love to play! ..waiting on Wings update to download.

Was super excited to hear about the Wings update. YA!!! Finally a chance to literally play with my friends!
Been staring at 'Sync files' for the last two hours and 16 minutes. NOOOO!!!

3.67GB update these Wings be, this should have been done by now when I can pull 12MB down from sunny CA. I have to imagine they have distribution servers here in the States somewhere. Or my pipes are just that cold here north of Boston? Though I downloaded 'The Wolf Among Us' in about 40 minutes and that comes in at 5.7GB.

Anyone else have this update take a very long time? Blah, won't be able to play tonight it seems...

So what's the good word on Wings, allowing groups to co-op as advertised?
Does it offer 'dog fighting protection' from stray fire, accidentally shooting your buddy?
Do you become wanted if someone in your group does something naughty?

Yeah, long download times are still Elite's disease, unfortunately. Hold on!

And in short:
1)Wings are awesome. They give you more than advertised.
2) Friendly fire is managed well. Never had problems after accidentally shooting a wingmate. (I never tried more sustained fire, though)
3) No.

I made the OP so the updater would finally start downloading at a decent speed and it has.
...might have also taken me purchasing Guild Wars 2 for it to get the idea.
I started getting speeds of 2+MB about ten minutes after making this post.

Nice! ...wait, false advertising!? I demand *exactly* what was advertise and not an iota more or I'll sue someone.
