There has been some chatter in the community lately about Microraptor. Some players are worried that if added, it could be restricted to the aviary.
I think Microraptor should be treated as an actual dinosaur (probably a scavenger given its size). Since they were more gliders than fliers, I don’t think a Microraptor would be able to fly over a park fence.
Perhaps their running animation could instead be a glide, wherein Microraptor jumps up to about fence-height, and then glides for several meters before landing at its desired location.
I think this would be a much better alternative to putting Microraptor inside of an aviary, where it would have limited behaviors and be difficult to see. Many of us were underwhelmed by Jeholopterus for this reason, so I’d hate to see that happen again.
