IDEA FOR FD: ED Rift Edition pack-in with CV1

I think that most - if not all - of us here would agree that Elite: Dangerous is the definitive experience for the Oculus Rift. I think that Frontier should work out a deal with Oculus to package a special version of Elite with every CV1. Of course, for all I know, something like this may already be in the works, but here are my ideas anyway :)

Elite: Dangerous Rift Edition - comes packed-in with the CV1

- Basically a premium demo for ED: unlimited access to game mechanics and universe except that the user is limited to the Sidewinder. Upon purchasing a license for the full game, all progress would carry over and all ships would now be available for purchase. I think that the game would be so appealing to new Rift users that there would be a very high turnover percentage of Rift Edition to Full licenses.

- Depending on the financial aspect of the deal with Oculus, possibly offer a discounted price for upgrades to full version.

- Special access to a permitted system for users who purchase the CV1. Rift Edition accounts would start here, and those adding the RE to their existing account would gain the required system permit for entry. This gives those of us who already own Elite a small bonus for our ongoing support as well as a place for Rift users to congregate and Wing up and offer support for rookies, etc.

- Starter location should be in an Ocellus starport in low orbit around an earthlike or terraformed planet. Low orbit because of the amazing sense of scale and grandeur when popping out of the mail slot for the first time. Earthlike or terraformed because green and blue play very well on the Rift (may not be an issue with CV1 though). Ocellus because Mr. Braben once mentioned how they were originally called Oculus Starports but the name was changed for obvious reasons :D (For reference: around 8:30 in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJzizYUEF9c)

- Rift system should be located rather central to all three major factions.

- System should contain stellar objects that are particularly interesting in the Rift (close orbiting binary stars, banded gas giants with rings, etc.)

Anyway, those are just some ideas I had while at work today and thought I'd share. Elite: Dangerous is such an amazing game with the Rift, everyone who gets a CV1 should have an opportunity to play it. I think packaging a version like this in with the CV1 would make good business sense for both Frontier and Oculus.
