Ok, how many of you wish that there was a global (galactic cause galaxy) chat but dont wanna break immersion? Introduce the galactic radio! Size 1 slot and is 70k credits, it allows you to chat with all CMDR's that have the radio, also increases weight of the ship and it can be destroyed just like the regular modules. What do you guys think?

I would rather the existing [Local] chat option is expanded to more than just Direct and Wing but also faction.
Ideally you align with an in game faction and this allows you to chat with fellow CMDRs in same faction.
I don't see any gameplay benefit by having to have a module installed, but some enhancement to inter player in game communication should be thought about.
Heck even a direct in game discord plugin with voice and text chat options.

What's the deal with Discord people? Did no one read the big "Potential Breach of Security" post from the other day?
Not to mention, there are so many other alternatives - like Skype, even something as ancient and mundane as IRC.
Not to mention direct messaging and voice chat that are already built in to the game.
Finally, we're already stretched pretty thin when it comes to modules, so this would just end up on my No Buy list.
Better Idea, make it tunable to pick up one of many ED radio stations. Ex. Lave Radio. Also, have it pick up 'odd transmissions' in space, kinda like a big HAM radio.
