PowerPlay Beacon signal:
Would work the same as wingman beacon signal except all CMDRs in the instance, who are pledged to the same power as you, will see a colored square on their radar indicating your physical location or your wake location if you drop out of Supercruise. Anyone pledged to the same power will be able to see, at a glance, how many other allied CMDRs are in the area (assuming they all activate their beacon that is - otherwise they'll be orange squares like normal).
PowerPlay distress signal:
if you have your PowerPlay Beacon signal activated *and* you have "report crimes against me" set to "on", then your Beacon Signal will become a distress signal as soon as you come under fire. Other CMDRs will see a highlighted (or perhaps pulsating) colored square in their radar indicating your location/wake location, and if they target this point then their sensors will identify it as "Allied ship Under Attack" or maybe just "Power Play Distress Signal."
I think the benefits of this idea are self evident so I'm not gonna get into why I think it's a good idea. I also would like to imagine that this is a relatively easy feature to implement compared to many of the big overhauls of PowerPlay that people have been proposing, and I think it would improve PowerPlay immensely and make it a more attractive mode to participate in, without disrupting the spirit of the game as it already is.
