Idea/Request: Independent Translational Thrust Axes

Setup: Thrustmaster T1600M, TWCS Throttle, and TFRP.F Rudder Pedals.

Situation: I was trying to figure out how to set up my toe brakes as vertical thrust control axes independently of one another. (ie: right = up, left = down). When you set either toe brake as the "Vertical Thrust Axis" in the game's current control binding menu, the game (or maybe the game and the pedals) thinks that you're giving a constant -100% input to the axis (at least on my pedals) and you have to push the pedal to a neutral point to get a 0% input. I have messed around with and tried to fix this in the pedal settings and in the game to no avail.

The only way to currently set the toe brakes individually is to set them as raw "keys" using the Thrust Up/Down control bindings. This makes them either push/not pushed, with no slope of input like an axis.

I noticed that for the SRV, there is an Accelerate Axis and a Decelerate Axis setting, allowing the toe-brakes to be used exactly as gas/brake pedals, respectively.

IDEA/REQUEST/SUGGESTION:

Make independent axes for each translational direction an option. Keep the full positive/negative axis options as they are now, but add directional specific axes for people that want more independant control over their thrusters. This would not only allow people more control over their ships in combat and precision maneuvers, (IE: Docking/Planetary Flight) but really make things like FAOff flying more interesting (for those that want the precision and challenge of mastering every aspect of their ship's movement.)

I understand that this is a relatively niche request, but having something like this would, in my opinion, make for even MORE interesting combat maneuvers as well as overall gameplay. Thank you for your time spent reading this and thoughts/counter ideas (Or even a fix for my current issue, as I'm relatively new to Rudder Pedal use over Twist Axis!) Thank you, FDev for your amazing game, and the community for their insight/opinion/support!

A friend actually just told me to check in the Alternate Flight Controls section of the Control Bindings menu. Might be some answers there for anyone else curious. Will check when I get home from work. *sheepish grin* Only a combined 2400 hours in Elite and I've never looked at the alternate controls drop down. >.>
