Idea to make popular Guardian modules - Set bonuses!

Let's face it, the Guardian modules aren't that popular. They're big and heavy, and don't have great specifications, considering the grind it takes to earn them, vs, standard store-bought equipment.
However, adding a set bonus can make these things majorly popular...at least in the case of Thargoids. You wouldn't have to worry about PVP balancing, as we know they are not intended for that.

The idea is simple, the more Guardian components you use, the more incremental damage weapons will do, the faster the system/ engine/ weapon recharge and the more power capacity and reduced power draw...all around statistics benefits. For example, let's say the default Guardian power distributor for something like a 6A has 4.42Mw/ sec recharge rate for system and engine and something around 7.00Mw/ sec for weapons. Well, adding a Guardian power plant a 1.5-2% boost, making it more like 5.304 recharge rate for both systems and engines etc. While the PP will see a 2% capacity gain, and adding a Guardian weapon will add something like a similar increase in any combination of damage output, cool down, or power draw etc. with a Guardian PD and PP installed. Adding hull modules with both a PD and PP installed can see increased statistics in caustic damage reduction, health etc. The list goes on.

Sort of like, magic, you mean?

Also special effects, or some indication that we are using Guardian modules. A different glow to the shields for Guardian shield reinforcements, a different distributor UI/ color, specialized sounds that sound kind of alien...

-1 from me. It doesn't make sense given current game mechanics.

Well the Thargoids and Guardian modules are already in the game. May as well incentivize people to use the right tools to defeat Thargoids, while adding a slight bit more effectiveness against Them. instead of just having them sit there because people prefer the engineered human tech. Otherwise it's there for no reason. Why use a Guardian PD if all it does is add weight and reduce recharge times, versus even a D grade distributor? Why have the Guardian hull modules if they make no difference vs the standard modules?

You need to learn a bit more about tge Guardian modules.

1. The 5A Guardian PD recharges very slightly slower than G5 5A Human PD
2. The guardian PD increases the power output of any Power Plant it is attached to

Is that the kind of bonus your asking for? Because it already exists genius.

You were already right, you didn't need to end that with a personal insult.

This is a good idea. Someone else suggested that using a guardian powerplant should let you generate ammo directly from fuel for guardian weapons. It made sense and I think it would work.

I never quite understood Guardian synthesis.

Does it REALLY require you to fly out to Guardian territory and smash drones for Guardian bits to make ammo, every once in a while? I haven't made my first trip out yet.

I actually really like this idea. Now, would it be like giving the guardian weapons the plasma slug experimental or would it allow synthesis using x tons of fuel?
