Well, of course, this would mean a "100% connected game".
What if it's transparent for you ? What if, when you install the game, you allow a certain amount on your hard drive reserved for downloads ? You just start a game, and when you open the window containing "entrances" you can find any thumbs of any entrances made by players, sorted by price, notes, themes, etc... And you just have to click on it, to build it directly (like a classic prefab), or a little "loading bar" appears
- The structure need to be loaded (if it uses only objects from the game), this is almost immediate (because you donwload nothing, you just load a sort of "text" file containing informations about how are positioned the various pieces of the building)
- Or the structure need to downloaded (if it uses objects from the community), and it takes a few seconds (or minutes depending on the connection and the size of the CS) but only the first time you download it.
All with the possibility of classifying objects by selecting only those that contain objects from the game (for people who have a slow internet connection for example, or those in a hurry).
It wouldn't be that bad. But If they just give you 1-2 prefabs and the rest you can download from the community, so everyone who want just to play with the stuff which is ingame can do this, and everyone who want to download things can do it. I'm not against that idea of "build it on your own or download it" But yeah I don't want a 100% connected game, I don't want to have to download it, you know?
But Also : I really like the Idea to add things into the game, to example Things they can't add because of licenses. To add a part of realism.
