This is meant for the developement team , you may take my ideas and use them or none what so ever. some may be obsolete as with 2.4 coming out in a couple of days they amy already be implemented or in the idea's bucket for futur updates.
Playing the game for 8 months now, It is big and enjoyable( or i would not play it), But one big issue i have is content and the lack of it. What i mean is beyond CG'S, variable missions from the missions board and exploring there is nothing else to it ( this is my opinion only for others im sure they amy feel it is enough as it is )
Sooo ideas: A lot more content around the bubble relating to factions and more missions as you rank with them or your pilots fed rank, these missions haviong a bit more meat to them, lore , old pilots tales, company gain over hidden tech etc.
Lore: gets confusing when you have the old lore from the previous games stuck in your head ( yes i am an old gamer) obviously ED has a differant lore and hostory to it so the dev teams canm add more wider ranged content.I owuld suggest a database built into the game that can access known history, lore (detailing planets, species, AI and other stuff) which can be updated by dev as the game progresses.
Lore missions : so we have the dark wheel, ciep,the club amd many more factions tied to lore but not much going on in game with them for the player to interact with them. so missions that turn up out of the blue dependant on the path you have taken and rating with the faction taling you on a trip to the other side of the galaxy, finding ancient hidden treasure from pioneers of space, dockable generation ships ( on automation) that may have valuable data, or contain old ships that are no longer in service and possibly modified ( good idea for pirate based story / missions).
Hopefully scanning planets will change so if there are any alien structures / ships or crashed human ships it will show up under the planet in the navigation pain as using coords to find things is very time comsuming and can put you off the game( 1200 years in the future the tech should be a little more advanced than it is, only 100+ bookmarks? doesnt make sense honestly) anything on planet once scanned should show or register as unknown.
For me it's simple. The game is biggest but lacks depth, not enough meat. Again this is only my opinion and i do understand that dev are looking ot change things which is always a good thing. More varation on mission types would be good as well.
So thats it. Please Dev team have a look and if it gives you any ideas then great, im sure i have more but i know how time consuming developement is.
