General / Off-Topic Ideas for the long June wait?

So we are down to less than a month until launch. If you are someone who is really looking forward to the launch then the month will feel like two months. Outside of E3 take up a few days with small amount of new information on the game in general, what are everyone plans leading up?

I'll start it off.

I knew the last 30 days would drag so I have held off on guides and such until this time. So I will be reading and watching videos during the wait. I will also be deciding if I want to do a mix of everything early on or focus on a certain path. Many schools of thought on that subject so I will spend fair amount of time reading up on it. Looking into what path I want to take with ship upgrades and when I think I start any of the faction grinds. The thing about ED that I enjoyed when I played it on PC early on, was that you can plan your own story. Create your own story, be the character you are playing when you sit down and turn it on. Allow yourself to enjoy the universe around you and be the pilot you want to be.

Prolly play Oolite or Privateer so I can have the Elite experience as I wait.

I've burnt myself out on everything ED now. I'd love technical details on the PS4 version and answers from FDev to the questions posed on the forum of late. Apart from that. The wait is short now.

Either morrowind or maybe tackle my pile of shame game collection! :) (horizon Zero Dawn is in it)

Having said that tho I'll probably just end up playing elite on xbox lol ;)

I'd recommend Horizon Zero Dawn. An absolutely great game. Unfortunately, I've already completed it so I'll be doing what the OP said and soaking up videos on ED and counting down the days. I've no idea what path I'm going to take in-game, so I'll probably try everything out until I find something I like. I do know I'm going to try flying with flight assist off, so if you see someone tumbling about in space or crashing into space stations it's probably me.

Take a peak at some YouTube videos of David Braben explaining how the procedural generation of the galaxy works. It's interesting stuff.

I have to work most of the days, so time flies anyway. And during the evenings I watch some youtube tutorials about ED. Just a couple more weeks until we head into the black. ;)

rolling around the Internet, play anything I never finished or have not even started yet on PS4. My back log is power 9,000.

Ahhhh... Brings back some good memories...

I only discovered it the other week as I was getting desperate to try out the ps4 hotas and only have dual core pc lol :) it works that well I'm gonna try and get the binds as close to ed binds as possible and put a week in using it before launch :D

Go play HZD immediately, it's beyond brilliant!

PS what's happened to automerge of posts made within a certain time?

Play StarTrek Bridge Commander. I just got it today in think it's amazing. I just played the tutorial and the first mission with some randoms.

Especially the combination of the immersion and the coop aspect. You really have to speak to each other and work together to be successful. First VR game for me, that really shows the potential of a quite new technology. The game behind it might lack a bit of content (cant't judge that right now, but have read about it).

Feel free to add me, if anyone should be playing (ID: Nerix).

But I have to agree, HZD is also great - but StarTrek might be the better appetizer for ED ;)
