I had an Idea that would make the Planetary Expansion also an upgrade for those that did not buy it (maybe prevents the community from splitting too much).
I think that they are going to upgrade the models of the planet once they release the Expansion. In order to allow the vanilla players to enjoy these updated models the Devs should implement space elevators.
Those would be very awesome to look at from a planet’s surface and also would give the vanilla players an option / incentive to interact with the planets more.
At the space end of the elevators should be a small station that would allow all players to dock and trade with the planet / one outpost on said planet.
