Ideas for the Scenario Editor

Hey there,

I have brought it up in another thread some days ago, but I think, it is worth a dedicated thread.

In terms of Gameplay, i would like to see some new fetures to the scenario editor:

1.- It would be cool to be able to create whole campaigns. Create a row of scenarios and be able to lock them until special goals of the scenario before are done. So we could create whole storylines out of the scenario editor. (Park Chains etc.)

2.- to add to this, I think what I really would love is when we where able to customise the research tree to a timeline. Decide what is available and what not. Lets say we can not research steel coasters or modern flat rides until we have researched and build an older model. Like a "Tech Tree" where a later Ride can just be researched when former Technology is already invented. We could set scenario goals based on this, like "have OLD RIDE 1 in the park until Oktober Year 3. Next goal will be "Have researched and build a STEEL LOOPING COASTER until June Year 10. Just as an example. We could then combine these possibilitys with idea 1. to create whole storylines and make the unlocking System more interesting.

Sure, not everyone will have the time and patience to configure whole campaigns with many scenarios. But I think it can add more depth to the scenario gameplay and research system thats available at the moment. I can also see this opens up some new possibilitys for community project.

What do you guys think? Don´t hesitate to bring more ideas to add to this, but it is a thing that I would really like to see and play around with.
