Ideas from JWE and ZT2:

Guests' viewing range: Like in Jurassic World: Evolution, an option to see where guests can see the animals from and to what range they can see them in the Analysis View Mode can be a great option to know if your animals will get a better sighting than "ok... I guess?"

Burrowing Animals: In my Zoo Tycoon 2 days (which are ongoing), you were always challenged to select suitable barriers for animals that can burrow underneath them (like meerkats). This can also create a new type of challenge to handle in Planet Zoo.

Building ON roads: This is a big issue for when you want to create a plaza. Especially if it's one on an elevated platform.

Extra Suggestion: Challenges that can reward animals (or something other than cash).



I don't expect changes like these to come soon as the game is still in its toddler stage (which is great so far, by the way!), but it would be nice if something like this could be implemented in the near future. :)
 
it would be nice for us to be able to place a gate for guests where road cross the path,so it would close as the vehicle is coming closer.
 
ZT2 also had an option to press a button that would turn the cursor into an eye icon and allow you to see where guests could see and where they couldnt; it's very useful
 
Sounds good - some other things from ZT2 I would love to see:
  • Fences that clip to the edge of paths
  • Multiple doors for enclosures
  • Plants only need to match the correct biome (rather than biome & continent)
  • Filters to show/hide guests, foliage and buildings/scenery
  • Restaurants
  • Gift shops
  • Each campaign mission should unlock decorative items/themed building sets that I could to use in my franchise/sandbox zoos (give me an incentive to do campaign)
  • More plants & more obvious animal skin variations (as the modders can't fix this like they could in ZT2)
