I have actually just undertaken the whole 2 minute process of registering a forum account for the sake of saying I am sick of people on facebook saying they hate griefers, it is an easy fix, 1- make a pvp server 2- make a pve server where if you grief players you get bounced to the pvp server 3- make a noob server for people with bad hardware or are still noobs with "sentinels" online to ease them into the game, the sentinels can be anyone willing to help noobs learn how to play etc, I know we have enough players that would role as sentinels as we have groups like the fuel rats etc, but you have to register as a sentinel, once you hit a certain amount of gold or a certain ship then you have to do pve server unless you are a sentinel. Maybe this would stop all the griefer posts on facebook and then maybe I could get some peace on my phone when people are posting about being griefed while am trying to play the game I love!!!!!!

The problem stems from people playing the wrong mode. If you fly in Open then you haven't got a leg to stand on if you get killed as you accept the inherent risks of this mode
There's plenty of Pve pvt groups and solo mode if you don't want to run the risk of combat with other Cmdrs
At this time there is no benefit to open over the other modes (though it's a heated topic) so players just need to choose the right mode for the gameplay experience that they're after

There is. It is called "Open Play" (And anyone with a pulse and two brain cells to rub together can survive there. I mean I manage it...)
As for the rest of your idea. We already have "sentinels" They are in Multicrew under "Mentors"...And Player groups who help people are a plenty. No excuse there they are literally sitting waiting to help new people. Also Private groups exist. So yea. Problem solved the tools are at everyone's disposal to play the way they would like.
As for these posts on Facebook. I really think no one with anything worth saying about this game is saying it on Facebook...And either way it does not affect your game. Unsub from the groups if it actually bothers you. I mean at a certain point its your responsibility to let it bother you or not.
I am as ready as anyone to talk about the dynamics of piracy and player killing and how to actually fix it (it is not actually broken...) However. Yet another "PVP Mode" thread doesn't help anything. It is just a very old and tired argument that only seems to come from non PVPers. And not to say their ideas don't matter...but they just simply don't have a full perspective outside of being the victim. I hate to use this phrase but in a way they just don't "Get it" when it comes to the open free flow nature of CG PVP in Open Play.

It'll never happen. As soon as she starts to speak out against the griefers, they will all just yell "Shut up Meg". And then we'll all have a good laugh at her expense.
