Modes Ideas to stop people moaning on facebook groups!

The answer is to switch FB off, but it will never happen. My Mrs spend 97% of spare time on it. Then complains she has no time and hasn't done something.

Personally I hate the dam thing.

We have winners!

Go to FB Settings and Delete FB Account. Problem solved.

I did this years ago and have enjoyed the peacefulness of a non-zombie life ever since.

Try it, you might like it.

Yep. I gave up on FB over a year ago and things couldn't be better. The wife on the other hand is glued to FB.

.... Maybe this would stop all the griefer posts on facebook and then maybe I could get some peace on my phone when people are posting about being griefed while am trying to play the game I love!!!!!!

Turn off notifications for the ED FB group - job done, no more pings from that 1 group.

Or do as others have suggested and just remove FB from your phone / life.

Facebook is a toxic cesspool, and it's good advice for literally everyone interested in having a healthy, lasting relationship with their friends and family to just avoid it. I had a following of nearly 4000 "friends" at one point when I realized this for myself. On the day the truth dawned, I pulled the plug without any warning or advance notice and just walked away. I don't regret that at all.

Same. I didn't have that many, but one day abut two years ago I logged in, realized that all it did was bring negativity into my life, and I pulled the plug. Didn't forewarn anyone. Haven't regretted it since.

FB can be cleaned up a lot by blocking posts from all those sites which just provide clickbait things for people to share on Facebook. That way you only see what your friends have actually written themselves. Being choosy about friends also helps of course.

I once did an interesting experiment when it occured to me how unlikely it was that "100s of women in your area want to meet you". Since I judged that this wasn't actually true, I flagged several such ads as "deceptive". Almost immediately the type of ads I was getting changed: "Suffering from hearing loss?", "Worried about funeral expenses?" :)

Can't say I've ever had the slightest interest in face tube. Can't imagine I'm missing much. We have a telephone if we want to talk to our friends
